Last Friday, a seminar-meeting was held on improving the efficiency of preventing and eliminating emergencies at facilities of national importance. The venue for the events was the Ferghana Oil Refinery, which is part of the Saneg company. The exercise was attended by heads and specialists of specialized organizations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The main goal of the seminar was to analyze the fire safety requirements at classified facilities and take specific measures to eliminate unresolved problems. The exchange of views on topical issues of increasing the efficiency of interaction between production facilities and the government agencies in the field of safety and security.

During the event, the head of the department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdushukur Ruziev, highlighted the issues of the fire safety at classified facilities of particular importance of the Republic of Uzbekistan. First Deputy Head of the Institute of Civil Protection under the Ministry of Emergency Situations Begzod Hikmatov touched upon the topic of automated warning systems at the local level at potentially dangerous facilities, and the head of the department at the central office Ulugbek Juraboev drew attention to the topic of improving the efficiency of civil protection of facilities.

“To conduct such state-level training seminars at our plant is a big responsibility. At the same time, through this seminar and the fire and rescue practical-tactical exercise, we tested the level of our preparedness for emergencies. Only in close cooperation with government services can we build a production system where safety is an absolute priority,” says Ikbol Rakhimov, technical director of the FNPZ.

At the end of the seminar-meeting, a fire and rescue practical tactical exercise was held with the involvement of special services of the Fergana refinery and the city.
