According to the new technology, oil-containing liquid is collected using a closed pumpless system, in which oil from wells moves through a hermetically sealed pipeline system without contact with the atmosphere.

This makes it possible to exclude direct contact with oxygen of the transported liquid in the transportation system, and as a result, to virtually eliminate the corrosion rate of pipelines. This technology is being used at Saneg facilities for the first time. The collection points accumulate oil-containing liquid from 15 wells in the Kashkadarya region.

“The biggest value of this new technology lies in the fact that we have, in fact, defeated corrosion in the system for transporting oily liquids to oil collection points. We have been moving towards this for almost a year, analyzing the reasons for the equipment stoppages while transferring liquids. Oxygen is a powerful oxidizing agent that significantly accelerates the corrosion processes. Previously, the replacement of pipelines at this field was carried out at least twice a year. In addition, the system allows for automated individual production measurements with the ability to transfer information to various accounting systems. In combination with the field telemechanics system, the installed infrastructure allows us to make the daily production results even more “accurate” day by day. All this would not have been possible without the scientific approach, in which our partners, the GRDC team of specialists, helped us. In the future, we will use this technology in other fields,” said Tulkin Yusupov, Executive Director of Saneg.

“As a result of the implemented closed oil-gathering system, the department for capital construction quickly installed collection points, and commissioning is currently being carried out at the North Urtabulak field. I want to note that this achievement will be taken into account in further work on the re-equipment of existing and in the design of new SEG oil production facilities,” said Muzafar Kambarov, Deputy General Director of Saneg for construction and project implementation.

Reconstruction of existing facilities was carried out in accordance with the implementation of the program for the capital construction of fixed assets. The cost of the project amounted to more than 3 billion soums.
