Saneg launches proprietary well workover equipment workshop

A newly-established mechanical workshop, located on the premises of the company's production unit in Karshi, will assist with the repair and manufacture of spare parts for well workover equipment.

The new workshop comprises 840 sq. m and includes facilities for cutting, turning, milling, and grinding parts on universal machines, as well as on machines with numerical control (CNC). The presence of CNC machines allows for the processing of samples and parts with "high" accuracy.

Furthermore, the establishment of a proprietary workshop will optimize the cost of purchasing spare parts, as well as reduce the duration of repair work at the wells.

Whenever a well undergoes repairs, we cannot produce. This workshop will accelerate our repair work and avoid production downtime,” says Sergey Ryabov, Chief Engineer of Saneg. He continued, Previously, factory parts had to be ordered by our logistics service, which often delayed the process. Now, we no longer depend on external factors and can tend to the repair or manufacture of spare parts ourselves.”

The equipment section of the new workshop covers all areas of machining and repair. Over the past month, more than 100 cutters, 40 reamers, 70 drill pipes, and more than 30 lead seals have been manufactured to meet the needs of Saneg’s well workover service, and more than 20 packers and other emergency tools have been repaired.
