Saneg launches project to utilize associated petroleum gas in Navoiy region

Saneg, in partnership with its strategic partner VEMA Carbon (Switzerland), has implemented a project to utilize associated petroleum gas (APG) at the Shurchi oil preparation plant located in the Navoiy region.

Thanks to the launch of the new infrastructure, between 20,000 and 25,000 m³ of gas is processed daily, which improves the energy efficiency of the enterprise and reduces CO₂ emissions.

As part of the project, a modular compressor unit (MCU) has been built, comprising seven ZWF 0.36/6-0.42 compressor units and one Ariel JCG/2 unit. A 3 km gas pipeline has been constructed to transport the processed gas to the “Akdjar Gathering Station”, ensuring a stable supply of gas for further processing and use.

All stages, from design to commissioning, have been implemented using modern engineering solutions and in strict compliance with industrial and environmental safety standards. Approximately $1.5 million has been invested in the project.

The project has been initiated by Saneg's Department of Strategic Projects and Scientific and Technical Development. Its implementation is the result of joint efforts by the company's engineering and production departments and partners from VEMA Carbon, who have introduced modern solutions in the field of carbon management and environmental monitoring.

“The project is part of Saneg's consistent ESG strategy aimed at reducing its carbon footprint and ensuring the sustainable development of the country's oil and gas sector. In the near future, we plan to increase daily gas transfer volumes to 50,000 m³ by adding additional wells at the field,” said CEO, Tulkin Yusupov.
